stairs, smelled of urine in room on carpet. No fans nor air conditioning. Opened window and heard rowdy people outside til 2 AM. Didn't care for the parking lot.Didn't like the door bell method for after 10 pm. Should have a key scan.
The welcome and reception.
Compared with others of similar price and 'rating' it was a bit old fashioned and run down. The neighbouring bar was graffitied and looked a dive, which was off putting and the car park was a disused plot at the back which was littered with used drug paraphernallia. The hotel could do with a refurbish, as could this part of 'town'! Wouldn't have like to have stayed more than one night!
the friendlyness of the manager and his wife. We had some exitement when 2 raccoons tried to enter our room, where we had a sandwich with the window open. No idea what they were, and my wife's screams chased them away. Otherwise it was a pleasant base from where to explore the region, up to Lake Darcy!!
The rooms were a bit warm despite the weather, but we managed
Very friendly, helpful staff. Well placed for exploring the area, including Whistler.
very quiet. friendly/helpful staff. Excellent bathroom. Good hot water pressure in shower. card access to room area as well as the room.
a bit of cigarette smoke smell at the stairs up to the rooms. Crazy light switch setup for the hallway/bathroom at the entrance. carpets should be cleaned up a bit. buzzer at the main door for after hours entry.
There was nothing to like at this hotel, actually I would not call it a hotel. It is just run by people who wish to do something else - thats the conclution
very poor service , tv did not work , internet was working 20 % of the time- slow.. , got my bank account emptied 1 hour after booking online. The manager was the most unprofessional I have ever met at any hotel ever, and that is many hotels. If you don´t fit running a hotel , find something else to do. Whatever you do, do not book a room here online or at all.
This is a very underrated hotel. Reception staff are friendly and know about events and activities and even where best to eat on what your budget is. I would stay again if passing through.
I liked the convenience, the town and the people were friendly.
I had a hard time sleeping as the pillows and mattress did not work well for me.
The front desk was good and they provided a fan prior to arrival. The room was clean.
It would have been a good experience however it was advertised as airconditioned at booking. It is not airconditioned and it was extreme temperates so we had no sleep. Not sure what the theme of the room was as advertised. It was called green and was painted green.
The staff were so very very able to make me feel comfortable.
The first impression when we drove up to the hotel. I wanted to drive away and cancel my stay, but after looking at the room and talking to the staff I changed my mind.
